While Angels Gaze at Lehmann Maupin
Todd Gray was a very influential photography professors of mine while I was studying for my BFA in Photography at Cal State Long Beach (class of 2007 Graduated with honors). Todd inspired conceptual ideas drawn from parallels with our individual and collective identity through this kind of liminal existences that we live in. These concepts are still very present in my practice.
When Lehmann Maupin contacted me to film and edit a profile piece on Todd for his upcoming show While Angles Gaze, I thought of it as a rare opportunity to catch up and work with my former professor nearly 20 years later.
